TORRANCE, Calif., July 28, 2022 — LEDtronics® is proud to announce new Low-voltage Double Contact Bayonet Base (Ba15d) LED Bulbs to join its industry-leading offering of intermediate based LED bulbs that fit in enclosed fixtures, with up to 160-degree spherical illumination, low power consumption and high lumen intensity.
These dual-voltage, double-contact LED bulbs boast an omnidirectional beam of spherical illumination up to 160 degrees. Their compact design allows for quick installation in enclosed fixtures and tight spaces — a perfect fit in applications such as indicator lights for instrumentation, automotive, machine status and gaming candles, as well as panel mount pilot lights and accent lighting.
The DB605SM series is available in 24 Vac/Vdc and 28 Vac/Vdc. The 24 Vac/Vdc bulb comes in a choice of 3000K warm or 4000K pure white illumination, and replaces incandescent lamps 72, 624 and 5626. The 28 Vac/Vdc bulb provides 4000K pure white light and replaces incandescents 304 and 1252.
Depending on the voltage and color temperature, power consumption ranges from only 1.0 to 1.3 watts at currents of 0.037 to 0.053 amps. They offer luminous intensity from 42 to 61 lumens and efficacy values of 38 to 49 lumens per watt. The series also has a maximum candela brightness value that ranges from 1.6 to 7.9 cd and spherical candela values ranging from 3.34 to 4.83 mscp.
As compared to incandescents, LED bulbs provide sharper, higher-intensity uniform lighting with better visibility, in addition to the much longer lifespan – they boast lumen maintenance of over 70% at 15,000 hours.
The solid-state construction of the new LEDtronics lamps with Ba15d double-contact (DC), nickel-plated brass bayonet base and 5 superior-quality LEDs makes them ideal for industrial applications that are subjected to vibration, electrical/mechanical shock and environmental stress, all of which reduce the life of incandescent lamps. They operate in a wide temperature range of ~-22°F to ~+122°F (~-30°C to ~+50°C) and generate no UV radiation, no RF interference and only minimal heat.
Other colors and white color temperatures as well as other voltages are available for large quantities and qualified applications.
The new LEDtronics DB605SM Series Low Voltage Intermediate DC Bayonet Based LED Bulbs come with an unconditional 3-year U.S. factory warranty, and they are available through LEDtronics distributors.
