TORRANCE, Calif., May 13, 2025 — LEDtronics® introduces new additions to its line of drop-in replacement A21-size and multi-voltage LED utility bulbs that fit most A19 applications, with easy installation using existing E26 medium screw-in fixtures.

The energy-efficient BSD-2080-001 (6000K cool white) and BSD-2080-002 (3,000K warm white) draw just 11 watts or less and provide up to 1,336 lumens of even light, with up to 117-degree-wide directional distribution and a high CRI of 85. They operate on a voltage input of 120VAC and 130~140VDC, offering a lumen-per-watt efficacy of up to 141, and a power factor ranging from 0.96 to 1.

With a lumen maintenance of over 70 percent at a long lifespan of more than 30,000 hours, and up to 70 percent savings in energy costs over incandescent and halogen bulbs, these high-efficacy LED lamps are ideal for general illumination in power plants, dam facilities, utilities, transmission stations, train or rail-car interior lighting, as well as focused reading and task lighting.

They are also used for uninterrupted emergency lighting (where DC power grid is available), or lighting in rural areas where 120VAC power goes off and backup 130-140VDC (up to 145VDC) power comes on.

As an example, the LEDtronics BSD-2080 lamps were custom-made for the Dalles Dam on the Columbia River in Oregon. At the dam, the bulbs were mounted on high ceilings, illuminating focused areas of power-generating systems. They were paired with the LEDtronics socket adapter converter accessory, which allows up to three lamps to be powered by a single socket—greatly increasing illumination from a single fixture. Located east of the city of The Dalles, the dam is one of the 10 largest producers of hydroelectric power in the United States.

Because of their low power draw, these lamps are ideal for use with alternate or renewable energy resources like solar-cell-charged battery and wind-power applications.

Their durable design features a clear, shatter-resistant, and UV-protected polycarbonate lens; a silver-colored aluminum alloy heatsink; and a white polycarbonate sleeve that protects the LED cluster from environmental stresses—making the lamps suitable for both indoor and outdoor use.

Options include other white color temperatures and voltages, A19 bulb with E27 Euro base, tinted clear lens or frosted lens colors, and a 3-in-1 light socket adapter converter.

Solid-state design renders LEDs impervious to electrical and mechanical shock, vibration, frequent switching, and environmental extremes. Additionally, with the use of multiple LEDs, an LED cluster lamp continues to provide light even if one or more emitters fail—unlike what befalls an incandescent bulb when its filament breaks. Producing minimal heat, the units operate within a wide operating temperature range of -20°C to +45°C (-4°F to +113°F).

The new LEDtronics BSD-2080 series of A21-size and multi-voltage LED utility bulbs that are direct retrofits into E26 base fixtures come with an unconditional 3-year U.S. factory warranty, and they are available through LEDtronics distributors. Custom pre-orders are available for volume orders.
